Abel (アブル, Aburu) was Maverick's stepbrother, who was killed by stray Twilights.
Appearance[]
Abel is a young man of average height and Caucasian descent. He has short light-coloured hair and warm light-coloured eyes. Abel wears a light cardigan over a white dress shirt, dark pants and Japanese school shoes. Abel is always seen with a gentle smile in Maverick's flashbacks.
Personality[]
Abel has been seen to have a kind and compassionate heart. He goes out of his way to help support people dealing with emotional problems. He encourages and cheers people up.
Background[]
Abel was Maverick's adopted brother who comforted her when his parents abused her. Maverick states that he treated her like a real sister and that he was the only one who treated her nicely. He would bring her more flowers for her flower wreathes.
Abel was brutally murdered by being impaled by multiple metal pipes by stray Twilights, causing Maverick to hate Twilights in general and seek revenge for her adoptive brother.
Plot[]
Abel comes out in Maverick's flashbacks when she tells tell backstory and motives to Spas. Maverick reveals to Spas that Abel being murdered by stray Twilights was the reason to why she became a hunter. She states that his death was so terrible that she wants Twilights to face the same fate.
It is revealed later that he killed his parents to save Maverick from the torture. Syringes are seen on the table next to them, leading to speculation over what exactly were Maverick's adoptive parents doing to her.
